Who we are & what these terms cover
Motion Visual Media is a Charlotte, North Carolina visual content studio offering brand films, brand photography, ongoing content production, Proud to Pay portrait sessions, and professional AI headshots. These terms cover your use of our websites and services generally. Individual productions are governed first by their own project agreement or proposal. Where a signed agreement exists, it takes precedence over these general terms.
Services & engagements
- Brand films, brand photography & ongoing content: scoped by proposal after a discovery call. Deliverables, timelines, licensing, and payment schedules are set per project.
- Proud to Pay: a limited Charlotte studio portrait session with five professionally edited images and an optional short video. The chosen contribution starts at $100 and is collected after a date is confirmed. Requesting a session does not guarantee availability.
- AI Headshots ($89): our productized headshot service has its own detailed terms, including the AI disclosure, likeness guarantee, revision policy, and refund policy, at headshots.motionvisualmedia.com/terms. Those terms govern headshot orders.
Payments
Payments are processed securely by Stripe; we never see or store card details. Project work is invoiced per its agreement. The statement descriptor on your card will read MOTIONVISUALMEDIA.
Cancellations & refunds
- Project work: per your project agreement.
- Proud to Pay sessions: need to reschedule? Email us at least 48 hours ahead and we'll find a new time at no charge. Contributions are refundable if Motion Visual Media cancels and cannot offer a replacement date.
- AI headshots: see the headshot service terms. Orders are non-refundable once generation begins, with a likeness guarantee and one included revision round.
Your content & our work
You keep the rights to materials you provide us, and you confirm you have the right to share them. Deliverables and their usage rights are defined per engagement. Headshot customers receive full personal and commercial rights to their delivered images. We use client work in our portfolio or marketing only with permission. Proud to Pay participants receive a separate release before any portrait or video is published.
Acceptable use
Don't use our sites or services to infringe anyone's rights, misrepresent your identity, or submit content you don't have the right to use. We may decline or refund any engagement at our discretion.
Liability
We stand behind our work, and where something falls short we'll work to make it right. Our total liability for any engagement is limited to the amount you paid for it. Services are provided "as is" beyond the commitments made in these terms or your project agreement.
Governing law & changes
These terms are governed by the laws of North Carolina. If they change materially, we'll update the effective date above; engagements are governed by the terms in effect when they begin.
